Good for your soul.
We had such a positive experience from beginning to end while staying at Redemption Cabin. The communication with Rick was thorough, efficient, and helpful. The location could not be better- close to the river/creek and walking distance to town. We left our car untouched for all of our three days except while exploring the National Park. The cabin itself is filled with the perfect mixture of old and new. The antiques are interesting and obviously well thought out. My favorite touches were the suitcase turned into a vanity and the bell jar lights. We enjoyed the lack of tv though we did watch the Estes Park DVD, which offered additional insight into the history of the town. Mostly we read, drank wine or coffee out front, sat out back and watched the chipmunks, and just enjoyed our family time. Our three days went way too quickly but certainly we appreciated this ‘good for your soul’ visit. Hope to return after we are back in the states again. Blessings to Rick and his family!

Rested and Rejuvenated.
We can’t say enough wonderful things about Redemption cabin! Between Rick’s incredible craftsmanship and both he and Cheryl’s warm and thoughtful hospitality, it was difficult to leave. They have thoughtfully included a wealth of details and extra touches that make one feel so very pampered. Our son loved climbing the mountain behind the cabin and watching birds from his bedroom window with the binoculars and bird book in hand that were in the cabin. Rick also made him feel very important by asking for his input about what would make his room even better:-).The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds are so comfortable that sleeping in is a given. Thanks so much for your kindness and hospitality!! We look forward to returning!

Peaceful and Accessible.
This was my first experience using the VRBO website and I was not sure what to expect. You know when you look at brochure pictures, you wonder if the “real thing” will be what you expect. I can say that the pictures of Redemption Cabin were spot on….it was everything I was expecting and more! I wanted a peaceful, quiet getaway, and Redemption Cabin delivered. Downtown Estes Park was accessible within walking distance. The cabin is not isolated, but the area was quite peaceful and it felt rather secluded (which for me was a good thing!). The river is across the street and during my visit it was very active so I could sleep to the sound of rushing water.
The house itself is quaint and the Grigsbys did a great job of keeping an authentic 1914 cabin feel in terms of décor and style. They did put in brand new appliances in the kitchen. Other than a dusty floor (part of living in the dry atmosphere of the mountains), the place was immaculate. It is a small cabin – probably best for 2 people (maybe 3). It is ideal for the solo traveler.
The location of the cabin is ideal. It is close not only to the downtown area but it is also close to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, YMCA of the Rockies, and more.
I have already recommended this place to several of my friends. I cannot give it a higher recommendation! Any VRBO from this point forward has a HUGE standard to live up to! I look forward to scheduling my next visit!

Review: First Last – my town

Awesome Quaint Cabin.
I love how the owners mixed the old with the new when restoring this adorable cabin. All the added details and vintage items that decorate each room create a lovely living space. You can sit out front with a cup of hot tea and enjoy the view or while resting in the back bedroom look out the window and watch birds and chipmunks eat birdseed from a feeder. The kitchen is fully updated and had everything I needed for a wonderful weekend stay. I can’t wait to return.
