Review: Ron James – Parker

This little cabin is clean and nicely remodeled! We enjoyed the minutes walk to downtown Estes without dealing with traffic and parking. It was also fully functional to prepare meals and enjoy a cozy night after a day hiking. We bumped into to Rick one morning and he shared some great hikes off the beaten paths of RMNP. We would stay here again and have already recommended it to a friend.

Reflection Cabin is WONDERFUL. It is comfortable, relaxing, convenient, safe, and refreshing. I was able to reflect through the end of Summer into the glorious colors of Autumn. The 1930 Cabin is so close to Estes Park I was able to walk everywhere, rarely driving my car. Rocky Mountain National Park and its many entrances are just a short drive away. My hosts, Rick and Cheryl were outstanding. They saw to EVERY detail when finishing this adorable cabin. The kitchen is adequate for all my meals. The bed is very comfortable and the wood burning stove is a delight… and they furnish the wood! I really hate to leave. Book this cabin for any stay, you won’t regret it.

We had an incredible time at Rick and Cheryl’s Redemption cabin. Our family stayed here last year and loved it so much that we came back in 2020. They are wonderful hosts and do everything in their power to make your stay a time of refreshing and renewal. They have so much expertise to share concerning the town of Estes Park, activities, and most importantly they are knowledgeable about Rocky Mountain National Park. We love to hike, and Rick took the time to listen to what we wanted in various hikes and recommend trailheads to us that suited us perfectly. The cabins are very well maintained, and they add to any vacation experience with their charm and character. We highly recommend these cabins to everyone looking for the perfect spot to unwind and relax.

Cozy, comfortable, quiet and close to the action.
Wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Redemption over Valentine’s weekend.

Cabin is the perfect mix of location and amenities without being too much of either.

Owners were friendly and ready to lend a helping hand for navigating activities and eats. Would happily come again. Loved Estes Park, RMNP and Redemption Cabin.

Review: Bob W – My Town

My mom, dad, daughter (age 11) and I all enjoyed the cabin over Christmas. It was perfect. I enjoyed that it was so close to town (we walked to dinner one night and enjoyed the holiday lights). I also enjoyed the “cabin” feel without having to be out and away too far. But, it was “away” enough that there were plenty of outdoor activities nearby. We snow shoed in Rocky Mt. National Park; and hiked a local Estes park hike on Christmas day, topped of with seeing a small herd of elk up close.

The cabin is warm and the kitchen is fully equipped (we fixed our Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas breakfast and dinner). Our host/owner was wonderful – he expertly matched our physical abilities (range of 60s years to 11 years) to the properly challenging, beautiful, and doable hikes/snowshoe trips.
The youth bed is definitely for a youth. My daughter is pretty tall for a 11 year old, and it was a little small. However, it wasn’t that bad – because she asked me to trade her for one night, so I personally slept in the bed. Wouldn’t recommend it for an adult 🙂 But, our stay was so perfect, that was hardly a problem. Just make sure it is a good fit for your family.

I would return there every Christmas with my little family if I could. Highly, highly recommended.

Loved it. Perfect for a family our size, age, interests.

The owners of Redemption clearly have a hospitality mindset that is beyond the usual. From the simple niceties of having a clean place to the more complex questions of character and thoughtful planning – everything here jumps out at you as ‘just right’.

Our kids had books laid on their pillows. Enough fun things (books, Estes relics) to look at without going over the top with it.

The owners had placed padding on spot where someone could hit there head on an eave out back. An extra water bottle was available. Etc Etc. Attention to detail at every turn.

There was ample access to information, videos, books, brochures etc that saved us from needing to do extensive research.

Everything was set so we could relax, wake up and go. Being walking distance to town was great. And being close to RMNP was perfect, too.

Excellent in every way.

The fine finishes in this cabin, the wise use of space, the location, the owner’s hospitality and knowledge of RMNP and EP—all are excellent!

Every compliment paid by other travelers in their 5 star ratings of Redemption on a River is true, so I’ll just say ditto.

Having stayed elsewhere on four other trips to EP, we have personal experience to compare with this stay. Our accommodations on previous trips were very good, but this was the best trip by far because of staying in this cabin.

Great cabin, great location!
We had a great stay at this cabin! It was clean, fresh, and comfortable! The bed was very comfortable and the linens and towels were of great quality. Rick was a great host. He provided good recommendations on things to do and the cabin was full of information about the park and surrounding areas.

This cabin also has a great trail right out the back door that is just a short climb to the top which overlooks the town with great views of the mountains. The location of this cabin was also perfect. Short drive to RMNP and a short walk to downtown. We would definitely go back!

Cozy place with luxury touches.

We had a wonderful week at Redemption Cabin. It’s a cozy cabin with historic charm. We loved the antiques!

Because we are not super rustic people, we also loved the updated kitchen with new appliances and granite counter-tops.

The beds are very comfortable with super soft sheets and tasteful bedding. Everything was VERY clean which is a huge deal for me!

The little back yard/sitting area was beautiful in the morning. We could walk just about everywhere we wanted to go in Estes Park and it’s a short drive to RMNP.

We enjoyed all of the resources about hiking the park that were readily available in the cabin. Highly recommend it for a couple or a small family like ours!

Great Place to Stay in Estes!

Rick’s cabin is the perfect location for Estes…walking distance to the river, a park, downtown, restaurants, shopping, groceries, etc.

The cabin is well appointed with a well stocked kitchen and lots of nice touches (hiking books, teapot/tea out on the counter).

Rick is a wonderful host, recommending hikes and things to do that were perfect for our family.

We highly recommend Redemption on a River. We’ve been to Estes many times, and this is by far our favorite location and accommodation.

Perfect Mountain Getaway.
My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here. The cabin is absolutely perfect, and even better than described. The owners showed complete attention to detail–the cabin was well-stocked with everything we could possibly need. The cabin was comfortable and beautifully decorated–we felt right at home. We will definitely return.

A little bit of Estes Park history comes alive!

My husband and I stayed at Redemption Cabin for two nights. What a wonderful getaway it was! I loved learning about the history of the cabin and Estes Park.

There are so many wonderful books to read as well as fun details in the cabin that transport you to days gone by.

The cabin is located close to town, so it was especially nice to be able to walk to the wonderful restaurants and shops.

It was such a relaxing and fun weekend for us both!

RELAX RECONNECT & REJUVENATE.

Historic, unique, quaint, cozy, warm and comfortable. A fantastic base camp for exploring Estes and surrounding areas.

My wife and I spent three days and three nights relaxing at Redemption Cabin, celebrating a birthday, visiting RMNP, and exploring Estes.

Cabin owner Rick is a fantastic host. Easy to connect with, made sure we had everything we needed, recommended some terrific restaurants and made us feel like old friends.

We loved it and didn’t want to leave it. If you want to slow down, walk Estes and rejuvenate this is the spot!

Thanksgiving in Estes Park at Redemption Cabin.
As I reflect back on our Thanksgiving Holiday, there is no time more fitting than now to express our gratitude, thank you, Rick. Redemption Cabin represents an earlier time in Estes Park combined with all the modern amenities of today. The cabin is clean, warm, and inviting. It was everything I expected and much more.

Redemption Cabin is not just a cabin in the Rocky Mountains. Upon entering this “gem” you feel like you are entering a home….yours for the duration of your stay. I would recommend a stroll along the village’s River Walk either early in the morning, late afternoon, or early evening. Will we return? Definitely.

What a unique jewel in the heart of Estes Park!

We stayed two nights in the Redemption Cabin, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about property owner Rick and his cabin.

Between the historical design of the cabin and the antique décor, the Redemption Cabin makes you feel like you went back to early 1900’s Colorado.

Its location is just a short walk to town, but it is tucked away in a spot that makes you feel secluded.

There is a rock bluff behind that cabin that is easily climbed for an unbelievable view of Estes Park.

Each evening, we sat on top of the bluff and watched the sunset over Estes Park. It was an experience you would never be able to replicate in a condo or hotel. The view from the bluff is priceless.

Peace and Relaxation at Redemption Cabin.

My wife and I stayed at Redemption Cabin for a couple nights and loved it. Rick, the cabin owner, was very nice and accommodating during our stay.

The cozy and historic cabin is just a block or so south of the “old downtown” shopping and restaurant area. I loved that there was a couple options for heating the cabin.

My wife loved looking through some of the old books that are strewn throughout. The TV/DVR came in handy one rainy evening.

We had a great time and look forward to staying again in the future. Thank You, Rick!

Perfectly Located Cozy, Historical Cabin.
My husband and I came to visit Estes Park for our anniversary, and had an absolutely amazing stay at Redemption Cabin. We knew that it would have some historical charm before we came, but it was even better than expected. Rick and his wife have put exceptional amount of detail into making every crook and cranny something special for you, and we were absolutely charmed by it.
Further than the historical charm though, the cabin is actually very comfortable to stay in. It has all the historic goodies with all the present pleasantries! There was some food already stocked in the pantry, which kept us from having to buy some of the basics, and the kitchen is stocked with all the utensils and cookware that you need. We ate in for most of the time there and loved it. They even thought of putting in an electrical kettle for hot water for tea so you don’t have to use the microwave or coffee machine.

We looked for a very long time before coming to RMNP for the perfect place to stay because I was pretty particular about the type of ambiance and coziness in the cabin we would stay in, and we definitely found it. I was hesitant at first because so many of the other cabins had a hot tub or some type of view. Trust me – you won’t miss it – at all. The cabin is 2 minutes walking distance to downtown, and by the time you’ve hiked all day, it was nicer for us to snuggle up by the wood stove under a blanket than be outside in a hot tub. I was so happy I forewent the hot tub for Redemption Cabin. I think the surprising part of our trip was that we probably enjoyed spending time in the cabin in the morning and evening as much as we did outside at the park. Very well done! You really can’t go wrong staying here. I highly recommend it.

Great Getaway Place.

My husband and I rented Redemption Cabin for 2 nights.

It was the perfect ending to our trek around Colorado.

A great small cabin with big amenities.

Even though it is in a busy tourist town, we felt we were in a “cabin in the woods”.

The description and photos were accurate. The property was well-maintained and clean. Loved the bath towels.

Easy walk to town from this property.
